Tripoli, February 11, 2025 (LANA) - The Military Region - West Coast announced today, Tuesday, the launch of military operations to eradicate organized crime dens and confront outlaws in the city of Zwara.

A statement by the Military Region explained that within the framework of - completing the military operation launched by the Military Region of the West Coast at the beginning of last January in the cities of Zawiya and Ajelat, and with direct instructions from the commander of the region, Lieutenant General "Salah al-Din al-Namroush", the (105) Battalion and the (62) Brigade affiliated with the Military Region launched intensive raids, targeting organized crime gangs that practice illegal fuel smuggling, human trafficking and illegal immigration, which pose a direct threat to national security and national sovereignty.

The West Coast Military Region, confirmed in its statement that it will continue its operations with strength and determination until the crime hotbeds are completely eliminated and the region is cleansed of all criminal activities that hinder stability and development efforts, within the framework of implementing the strict instructions of the Supreme Command on the necessity of imposing security and enforcing the law in all targeted areas, calling on citizens to cooperate with the military forces and report any suspicious movements.
