HoR National Committee for Sustainable Development discusses the possibility of hosting the Libya-Africa Climate Summit 2025.

Benghazi - February 11, 2025 (LANA) - The head of the National Committee for Sustainable Development in the House of Representatives "Rabia Aburas" and members of the House of Representatives "Saad Abdul Qader Al-Badri, Al-Mahdi Masoud Al-Awar, Abdul-Moneim Balkour" and the head of the House of Representatives' office, Professor "Abdullah Al-Masry Al-Fadhil" discussed today, Tuesday, during the meeting held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives' office, the possibility of the House of Representatives hosting the Libya-Africa Climate Summit-2025.

According to the House of Representatives, the summit aims to enhance climate governance and transparency, support innovation and green technology, and achieve fair and sustainable financing, in addition to aligning the summit with Africa's Agenda 2063. The Libya-Africa Climate Summit is expected to witness the participation of the African Parliament, African oversight bodies, the African Peace and Security Council, along with the African Development Bank, the Green Climate Fund, the European Union, and green finance programs, according to the council.
