Agreement between the Ministry of Education and the British Council to develop the educational process.

Tripoli, 11 February 2025 (Lana): The Ministry of Education announced the agreement on the executive program of the initiative, in partnership with the British Council and in cooperation with the British Embassy in Libya, with the aim of developing the educational process according to the latest international standards.
The program primarily focuses on updating educational curricula, qualifying teachers, and developing inspectors and trainers to enhance the quality of English teaching in Libyan educational institutions.
This agreement comes as a continuation of the efforts made within the framework of the cooperation between the Government of National Unity and the British Council, which aims to raise the efficiency of teachers and students in the English language, which contributes to enhancing the opportunities of Libyan youth in higher education and the labor market.
The agreement was announced at the meeting attended by the Minister of Education, Musa Al-Magariaf; the head of the executive team for the Head's Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea; the head of the University of Tripoli; and the Director General of the Center for Educational Curricula and Educational Research.
From the British side, it was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the British Embassy, Tom Phipps; the Regional Director of the British Council in the Middle East and North Africa, Amir Ramadan; the Regional Director of the British Council for English Language and School Education Programs in the Middle East and North Africa, Harry Haines; the Director of English Language Programs at the British Council in Libya, Amina Al-Shaibani; and the Director of the British Council in Libya, Faisal Al-Najeh.
