Abdullah Al-Lafi discusses with the Qatari ambassador the developments of the political process in Libya

Tripoli, February 10, 2025 (LANA) - Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya, bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, which contributes to supporting stability and development.
The Presidential Council reported on its Facebook page that the two sides discussed during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Presidential Council, the latest developments in the political scene, the challenges facing the political process, and ways to end the transitional stages through consensual solutions that enhance security and stability.
He explained that the two sides stressed the importance of supporting the efforts of the United Nations mission to end the political crisis and prepare the conditions for launching a sustainable path that achieves the aspirations of the Libyan people.
The meeting also touched on mechanisms to enhance joint coordination between the two countries and benefit from successful experiences in development, in a way that serves common interests.
The Presidential Council added that the Qatari ambassador praised the role of the Presidential Council in managing the current stage, stressing his country's support for efforts to achieve national reconciliation and the path of a political solution, which leads to Libya's stability and prosperity.
The Qatari ambassador renewed his country's commitment to supporting Libya through diplomatic mediation and supporting development projects to establish the foundations of a stable state that is moving steadily towards the future, according to the Presidential Council.
