Tripoli, February 7, 2025 (LANA) - The US Embassy in Libya considered that security cooperation between the United States and Libya supports Libyan-led efforts to unify the army and preserve Libya's sovereignty.

The embassy noted in a tweet published today, Friday, via its account on the -X- platform, that the visit made by the Deputy Commander of (AFRICOM) Lieutenant General John Brennan, Brigadier General Rose Kravory, and Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy Jeremy Brent to Libya during the period from February 3 to 6, is to meet with leaders in Tripoli, Benghazi and Sirt.

The embassy said that achieving the unity of institutions is essential to Libya's stability, and promoting peace and stability remains a priority for US national security.
