Foreign Affairs Committee of the HoR rejects Trump's statements about displacing the people of Gaza.

Benghazi, February 7, 2025 (LANA) - The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives expressed its rejection and condemnation of the statements of US President Donald Trump regarding the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and their deportation to neighboring countries.

The Foreign Affairs Committee confirmed in a statement today, Friday, that this contradicts all international covenants and charters and is considered a serious humanitarian violation.

The committee reiterated the right of the Palestinians to return to their homes after their displacement due to the war of extermination waged by the Zionist entity against the sons of the Palestinian people, and did not respect a child, woman or disabled person.

The committee said that the statements of the US President do not help in the efforts to calm and resolve the current crisis, stressing that Trump's position is considered blatantly biased and non-objective, and considers the displacement of the people of Gaza a crime against humanity.
