AFRICOM Deputy Commander Visits 111th Border Staff Brigade Training Center

Tripoli, January 5, 2025 (LANA) - The Deputy Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Lieutenant General John Brennan, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, ​​Jeremy Berndt, visited the 111th Brigade Training Center of the Border Staff, along with a number of military and diplomatic officials accompanying them.

Our Government Platform stated that the delegation was briefed on the center's capabilities and the training programs being implemented to enhance the forces' capabilities in the field of securing borders and combating security threats.

During the visit, ways to enhance military cooperation between the two sides were also discussed, especially in the areas of training and capacity building.

Our Government Platform indicated that this visit comes within the framework of the partnership between Libya and the United States, and within the joint efforts to support stability and enhance border security.
