Dabaiba discusses with the British Chief of General Staff enhancing military cooperation between the two countries

Tripoli, February 2, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dabaiba", stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership with the United Kingdom in the military field, with the aim of raising the efficiency of Libyan institutions.

This came during his meeting today, Sunday, in Tripoli, with the Chief of the British General Staff, Lieutenant General Pilot "Harvey Smith" to discuss enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting, which was held in Tripoli in the presence of the British Ambassador "Martin Longden", discussed efforts to support and build Libyan military capabilities, and cooperation in the fields of training and development.

For his part, Lieutenant General "Smith" renewed the United Kingdom's readiness to enhance cooperation in the field of military training and rehabilitation, in order to achieve stability and build defense institutions.

The meeting was attended from the Libyan side by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General "Mohamed Al-Haddad", along with the Director of the Minister of Defense's Office, and the Prime Minister's Advisor.
