The Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussing the return of the Austrian embassy to Tripoli

Tripoli, January 29, 2025 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity discussed with the Austrian Embassy in Libya the return of the embassy to work from Tripoli, and the opening of a direct air route between the two countries.

This came during the reception of the Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry, Abu Bakr Al-Tawil, Ambassador "Barbara Grass", and the new attaché to the Austrian Ministry of Interior "Wolfgang Samer".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in all fields, and push relations to a distinguished level during the coming period, especially with regard to the ongoing arrangements to receive a delegation from the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to visit Libya.

The two sides also discussed cooperation in the field of diplomatic training, in addition to a number of other topics that serve the two countries.
