Libyan Relief and World Food Program continue to support Sudanese refugees in Benghazi.

Benghazi, January 29, 2025 (LANA) - The operations teams of the Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Works Authority, today, Wednesday, followed up on the distribution of food aid to Sudanese refugees in the city of Benghazi, in the presence of a delegation from the World Food Program.

The visit aims to supervise the distribution process and ensure that food aid reaches those entitled to it fairly and transparently, in addition to assessing the needs of refugees and working to fill any gaps.

Representatives of the World Food Program listened to the comments and opinions of Sudanese refugees about the support provided to them.

The official spokesman for the Libyan Relief and Humanitarian Works Authority, Muhammad Al-Warfali, confirmed to the Libyan Al-Anbaa newspaper that the operations teams of the Authority are continuously working to provide humanitarian support, noting that aid was provided to about 1,200 Sudanese families, including more than 6,252 individuals, within the framework of the Authority's commitment to alleviating the suffering of refugees and cooperating with international partners to ensure the sustainability of humanitarian support.

Al-Warfali added that the Authority continues its efforts to provide aid according to the available capabilities, stressing that humanitarian work requires concerted efforts from all parties to ensure a decent life for the most needy groups.
