Al-Sayeh discusses preparations for the municipal council elections.

Tripoli, January 29, 2025 (LANA) - Chairman of the High Elections Commission, "Imad Al-Sayeh", held a meeting today, Wednesday, to discuss and evaluate the current stage (accepting candidacy applications) and preparations for the next stages of the municipal council elections (second group - 2025).

The meeting addressed the most important observations and challenges faced by the Commission during this stage and how to overcome these challenges and enhance performance to ensure the effective conduct of the electoral process.

The meeting also discussed the readiness of the technical departments for the next stages, which include opening the voter registry and distributing the voter card, the readiness of the departments in terms of human and technical resources, and the importance of joint coordination between the departments to ensure the smoothness and transparency of the electoral process and complete preparations for the municipal council elections (second group - 2025) that started on January 19, 2025.
