Al-Lafi discusses cooperation in securing borders with the European Union Ambassador.
Pulbished on:Tripoli - January 28, 2025 (LANA) - The Deputy of the Presidential Council "Abdullah Al-Lafi" discussed today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the European Union to Libya "Nicola Orlando" cooperation in securing borders, and a number of economic and political files shared between Libya and the European Union.
The Media and Communication Office of the Presidential Council stated that "Al-Lafi" welcomed during the meeting the appointment of the new envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, stressing the Presidential Council's support for the efforts and endeavors of the UN mission, in bringing the views of the Libyan parties closer together, and the need to expedite work to end the state of political stagnation.
The meeting also discussed developments in the national reconciliation file, and ways of cooperation in the technical aspects of building peace and transitional justice in Libya, to reach the electoral entitlements and achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people.
