Cairo - January 28, 2025 (LANA) - The delegation of the Drug Enforcement Agency, headed by Major General "Khaled Al-Mabrouk Abdel Nabi", discussed today, Tuesday, in Cairo, with the Director of the US Drug Enforcement Branch, his deputy and his advisor, prospects for cooperation between the two sides in the field of drug control, in the presence of a number of officers from the Drug Enforcement Agency.

The Ministry of Interior stated that the meeting focused on exchanging information and expertise related to combating drug smuggling and limiting its spread. The most prominent challenges facing international efforts in this field were also reviewed, and joint mechanisms were proposed to address them effectively.

It indicated that this step comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to enhance cooperation with international partners, which contributes to supporting security and stability and combating cross-border organized crime.
