Tripoli, 28 January 2025 (Lana) Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Stephanie Koury, met yesterday with a delegation of House of Representatives (HoR) and High Council of State (HCS) representatives from Misrata.

The UNSMIL said that the meeting came as part of ongoing engagements with all Libyan stakeholders to share an overview of the UNSMIL-facilitated political process.

The mission added that all agreed on the importance of unifying and strengthening state institutions, good governance, and countering corruption.

During the meeting, Koury reiterated the crucial role all stakeholders have in advancing Libya toward elections.
