The High Council of State welcomes the appointment of (Hanna Serwaa Tetteh) as UN envoy to Libya

Tripoli, January 27, 2025 (LANA) The High Council of State welcomed the appointment of "Hanna Serwaa Tetteh" as Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

The Council expressed in a statement its hope that "Hanna Serwaa Tetteh" will be able to benefit from her long experience that has spanned decades at the national, regional and international levels in resolving the Libyan crisis and re-advancing the political process.

The Council affirmed its support for the mission's efforts to create an environment and conditions to overcome the current impasse and put an end to the political deadlock in the country by completing the consensus on a legislative framework to hold national elections whose results are accepted by all.
