Al-Manfi welcomes appointment of new UN envoy to Libya

Tripoli, January 26, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Al-Manfi", welcomed the announcement of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, "Antonio Guterres", appointing "Hanna Serwaa Tetteh" as a special envoy to Libya and head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, considering that this appointment came at a critical and important time for the Libyan issue.

"Al-Manfi" expressed in a tweet on X. the hope that the envoy "Tetteh", with her extensive diplomatic and international experience, will be able to achieve tangible achievements that contribute to breaking the current political deadlock, and pave the way for achieving the aspirations of the Libyan people to hold free and fair general elections that consolidate stability and enhance social peace.

He stressed full support for her efforts and endeavors to bring the views of the various Libyan parties closer together, calling on all national, regional and international parties to cooperate sincerely and effectively with her to ensure the success of her mission and achieve a better future for Libya and its people.
