Jordanian Airlines launches its first flights to Benina International Airport in Benghazi.

Benghazi, January 25, 2025 (LANA) - Royal Jordanian Airlines launched its first flights yesterday to Benina International Airport in Benghazi, after an absence that lasted for years.

The director of the municipality's media office, Osama Al-Majbari, said in a statement to Al-Anbaa al-Libiya newspaper that an official reception ceremony was held for the plane carrying a Jordanian delegation, in the presence of the head of the Benghazi Municipality's Executive Council, Al-Saqr Bujwari, and representatives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, heads of airlines, and directors of security departments at the airport.

Al-Majbari added that the Jordanian delegation was headed by the Director General of Royal Jordanian Airlines, along with a number of officials from Jordanian Airlines, and the official of private hospitals in Jordan, Nael Al-Musalha.

He explained that this step comes within the framework of efforts to develop the civil aviation sector in Libya and enhance cooperation with regional countries, which contributes to supporting the local economy and opening new horizons for development.
