Al-Abed discusses with his Chadian counterpart the activation of the memorandum of understanding concluded between the two countries
Pulbished on:N'Djamena, January 22, 2025 (LANA) - Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Rida Al-Abed agreed with his Chadian counterpart, Minister of Public Service and Social Dialogue, "Abdallah Mbabi", to form joint technical teams to follow up on the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum of understanding concluded between the two countries.
This came during a meeting held in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena, in the presence of the Advisor to the Minister of Labor, Jumaa Abu Awina, the Undersecretary of the Chadian Ministry of Public Service, and the directors of the relevant departments.
The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation stated that the visit comes within the framework of activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in November 2024 in Tripoli, which aims to regulate the movement of workers between Libya and Chad, and protect the rights of workers and employers.
The ministry added that the two sides agreed to form joint technical teams from both sides to follow up on the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, and ensure the progress of work in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries.
They also stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of vocational training and rehabilitation, and exchanging expertise between the two sides.
The ministry indicated that this step comes within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and Chad, develop the labor market, and organize the movement of workers in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in both countries.
