Al-Trabilsi confirms that the clashes that took place in Al-Seyahia area represent terrorizing the residents, and this is something that cannot be ignored.

Tripoli, January 22, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Imad Al-Trabilsi, confirmed that what happened in the village of Al-Maghrib Al-Arabi ,in Al-Seyahia area, of ​​clashes last night represents terrorizing the safe residents in their homes, and this is something that cannot be ignored. Al-Trabilsi said in a recorded speech on Wednesday, "Strict measures will be taken, including closing the village completely, returning it to the management of the Development Fund, and imposing security and stability in all areas, even by using force.

He added that the village of Al-Maghreb Al-Arabi, known as "Al-Riqata", had been evacuated in the past period of the armed group that was stationed there, as part of the security arrangements that were taken, and it was officially handed over to its management, noting that an armed group returned to the village, which led to clashes using light and medium weapons with the participation of approximately 30 to 40 armed vehicles.

The Minister of Interior explained that he had issued instructions to assign a joint security force comprising the Tripoli Security Directorate, the Stability Support Apparatus, the Directorates Support Apparatus, and the Special Operations Force and direct it to the village to impose the law and control the situation, even by using excessive force if necessary, noting that the Attorney General's Office was informed, as members of the prosecution were assigned to accompany the assigned force to ensure that the procedures proceed legally.

Al-Trabilsi revealed that the police forces will be strengthened and armed in the coming period to confront any security threat with all strength and determination.

Al-Trabilsi pointed out that there is full coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, other security agencies, and the General Staff of the Libyan Army, which will enhance the success of security work and support efforts to impose stability.
