Minister of Oil discusses with NESR the challenges facing production operations.

Tripoli, 21 January 2025 (Lana) GNU Minister of Oil and Gas discussed with a delegation from National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) the future plans and challenges facing the ministry to strengthen productivity and achieve sustainability.

The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Libya Energy & Economy Summit 2025 held recently in Tripoli, reviewed the achievements of reaching a production of 1.4 million barrels per day, which was achieved last December, and working to continue overcoming challenges related to crude oil.

The two sides also discussed plans to improve operations and production efficiency, where discussions focused on sustainability initiatives such as water recycling to enhance environmental responsibility in the sector.

The attendees stressed the importance of cooperation with local companies to support these efforts and achieve common goals.

It is worth noting that (NESR) carries out many activities and works in the Libyan oil sector, including providing support and technical advice on wells with complex problems.
