USAID organizes a training with the Murzuq Steering Committee.

Murzuq, 20 January 2025 (Lana) USAID wrapped up a 3-day training for the Murzuq Steering Committee on municipal consensus-building, focusing on local reconciliation and stability.

The U.S. Embassy stated yesterday that this training was organized by the American Bar Association (ABA) and attended by USAID Representative in Libya "Christopher La Fargue" and members of the Murzuq Municipal Council, local leaders, and municipal stakeholders, with the aim to explore practical strategies for integrating conflict resolution practices into their governance decision-making processes.

“This training was developed in response to Murzuq Steering Committee’s request to enhance reconciliation efforts," La Fargue said.

“USAID is committed to supporting Libyans in navigating these challenges and building a path toward lasting peace and progress,” he added.
