UN envoy discusses with members of House of Representatives forming a unified government

Benghazi, January 19, 2025 (LANA) - Members of the House of Representatives held a meeting today, Sunday, with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, at the headquarters of the Council's office in Benghazi.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, focusing on ways to end the Libyan crisis by holding presidential and parliamentary elections, as well as forming a unified government throughout the country to implement the electoral entitlement.
The meeting also discussed the draft law on national reconciliation as one of the basic steps towards enhancing political stability in the country.
The meeting was attended by representatives Zayed Hadiya, Issa Al-Aribi, Idris Omran, Ezz El-Din Qwerib, Muhammad Tamer, Hamad Maqiq, Abdul Salam Shuha, Suleiman Al-Harari, Rabha Al-Farjani, and Intisar Sheneeb.
