Minister of Culture meets with the Regional Director of the UNESCO Office.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 19 January 2025 (Lana) The GNU Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mabrouka Togui, discussed with the Regional Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office for the Maghreb region, "Eric Falt", the registration of Libyan cultural sites on the World Heritage List and the preparation of files related to intangible cultural heritage to nominate them for classification on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
During this meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World held in Morocco, Rabat, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation during the coming period between the ministry and UNESCO in areas of culture and heritage, as well as organizing a joint Maghreb symposium dedicated to heritage and culture in crises during the first half of this year and organizing training courses in Libya led by UNESCO experts in the area of heritage.
