Tripoli, 19 January 2025 (Lana) Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, considered that the strong presence of U.S. companies at the 3rd session of the Libya Energy & Economy Summit 2025 reflects the role of Libya’s energy sector in the global market and the considerable potential for growth.

This came in a tweet by Berndt where he thanked Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dabaiba and Acting Minister of Oil Khalifa Abdusadek for engaging with him and U.S. companies at the U.S. pavilion at the Libya Energy and Economic Summit in Tripoli yesterday.

“A diverse range of U.S. firms are already contributing immense technical expertise to benefit the Libyan energy sector, and the potential for partnership is much, much more. Our embassy is committed to supporting the dynamic U.S. private sector as we work to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries,” he added.
