Advisory team discusses activating the financial leasing initiative launched by the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation

Tripoli, January 16, 2025 (LANA) - The advisory team for implementing the financial leasing initiative launched by the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity held its first meeting on Thursday at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli.

The meeting, chaired by the acting head of the Labor Market Authority, "Abdul Hadi Ambia", discussed the mechanisms for activating the initiative launched by the ministry to support employment and enable the transition to the private sector.

The team discussed a detailed action plan that included the procedures and timelines for implementing the financial leasing initiative, which aims to enhance the role of the private sector in the national economy, and provide sustainable job opportunities for young people and job seekers.

The head of the advisory team, head of the Labor Market Authority, Dr. "Abdul Hadi Ambia", said in a statement to the Libyan News Agency that the initiative will help improve the business environment by providing flexible financing mechanisms that support entrepreneurship and innovation.

"Ambia" added that the initiative will provide real job opportunities for job seekers, in addition to supporting the surplus of job holders and employees in the public sector who wish to move to the private sector.

He stressed that the initiative will contribute to reducing job congestion in the public sector, by enabling employees to move to the private sector by opening projects that contribute to developing the economy and providing job opportunities for them that enhance local production and support economic growth by providing innovative financing mechanisms for micro, small and medium enterprises.

It is noteworthy that the advisory team for implementing the financial leasing initiative was formed by a decision of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, headed by the Chairman of the Labor Market Authority, and the team includes an elite group of experts and specialists in the financial, legal and economic fields.

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity launched the financial leasing initiative for micro, small and medium enterprises on October 29, 2024, with the aim of providing real job opportunities for job seekers, by integrating them into the labor market and enhancing local production and economic growth.
