Al-Huwaij meets the British Ambassador.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, January 16, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, "Mohammed Al-Huwaij", discussed yesterday, Wednesday, with the British Ambassador to Libya, "Martin Longden", the possibility of resuming the work of British companies in the State of Libya to complete contracted projects in various sectors.
The meeting, which was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli in the presence of the Director of the Foreign Trade Department, the Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry, and the Economic Advisor at the British Embassy, discussed the formation of a joint economic committee that works to strengthen economic and investment ties, and networking between chambers of commerce and business owners in both countries.
The Ministry's media office reported that the meeting emphasized the importance of coordinating and unifying the British position to support the recovery process and achieve economic stability, noting that "Al-Huwaij" called on the Foreign Trade Department to enhance cooperation and coordination with the Economic Advisor at the British Embassy, within the framework of developing bilateral relations between the two sides.
