A Meeting between the Ministry of Interior and the Italian Embassy to follow up on the illegal immigration file

Tripoli, January 15, 2025 (LANA) - The Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Noureddine Abu Jarida, discussed with the security delegate at the Italian Embassy in Tripoli combating illegal immigration and enhancing security cooperation between Libya and Italy.
During the meeting, according to the Ministry of Interior, the programs and procedures underway within the framework of security cooperation between the two countries were discussed, as well as the equipment to be sent to support the agencies working in the field of combating illegal immigration.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed preparations for the next meeting of the Libyan-Italian joint team concerned with illegal immigration.
