Libyan-Russian meeting to discuss resuming activities of Libyan-Russian joint governmental committee
Pulbished on:Moscow, January 15, 2025 (LANA) - Deputy Minister of Energy in the Russian Federation Government "Roman Marshavin" held a working meeting yesterday, Tuesday, with the Libyan Ambassador to Russia "Imhamed Al-Maghrawi", which focused on preparing to resume the activities of the Libyan-Russian Joint Governmental Committee. The two parties confirmed - according to the Russian embassy in Libya - their mutual interest in enhancing trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries, and working to arrange a bilateral meeting between the heads of the Libyan-Russian-Libyan Joint Governmental Committee - (Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation "Sergey Tsevilev" and Minister of Transport of the Government of National Unity "Mohamed Al-Shahoubi").
The Russian embassy explained that the Deputy Minister of Energy stressed during the meeting that Russian companies still have interest in participating in energy projects in Libya, and that Libya is a promising partner for Russia among African countries, and sees the possibility of developing bilateral cooperation on the TEK line and in other directions.
