Erdogan and Dabaiba discuss in Ankara enhancing bilateral cooperation and developments in the Libyan situation
Pulbished on:Ankara, January 15, 2025 (LANA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed today, Wednesday, in Ankara with the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, enhancing bilateral cooperation between Libya and Turkey in various fields.
The Prime Minister's media office reported that the meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, regional and international developments, in addition to ways to enhance economic, trade, security and military relations, in a way that contributes to supporting regional stability and enhancing common security.
The meeting also discussed developments in the situation in Libya, and the ongoing efforts made by the Libyan government to achieve stability and comprehensive development, as President Erdogan affirmed his country's continued support for these efforts, stressing the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in facing regional and international challenges.
The office quoted Dabaiba as stressing the importance of this visit in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, and the government's deep appreciation for the support provided by Turkey in various fields, especially in the political and economic fields, noting that bilateral cooperation will be essential to achieving sustainable development in Libya.
Al-Dabaiba was accompanied on this official visit by the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi.
