Turkish President receives head of National Unity Government in Ankara
Pulbished on:Ankara, January 15, 2025 (LANA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received, today, Wednesday, at the Presidential Palace in the capital Ankara, the Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, who is visiting Turkey as part of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The government's "Our Government" platform said that the meeting discussed regional and international developments, ways to enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries, as well as cooperation in the security and military fields.
The meeting touched on developments in the situation in Libya and the government's efforts to achieve stability and development, as the Turkish President affirmed his country's support for these efforts at various levels, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in facing regional and international challenges.
For his part, Dabaiba stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership with Turkey, stressing that bilateral cooperation will be pivotal in achieving sustainable development in Libya, expressing the government's appreciation for Turkish support in many areas, especially in the political and economic fields.
The Prime Minister was accompanied on this visit by Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, who participated in discussions on enhancing communication channels between the two countries.
