A seminar in Tripoli on the political effectiveness of Libyan women under the slogan (Women decide - Hearts unite - The path changes)
Pulbished on:Tripoli, January 14, 2025 (LANA) - The activities of a symposium on the political effectiveness of Libyan women kicked off at the Tripoli International Fair today, Tuesday, under the slogan (Women Decide - Hearts Unite - The Path Changes), which is organized by the Moroccan Girl Office of the Maghreb Agency for Youth Activities of the General Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb, in cooperation with the Women's Office of the Agency and the Cultural Forum of the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies.
The symposium, which was attended by - academics, writers, women's activists, representatives of women's groups and women's councils, an elite of sheikhs and dignitaries, those interested in the national reconciliation file, and representatives from the countries of the Arab Maghreb Union - aims to activate the role of women as a pivotal element in enhancing political, social and economic stability and investing women's experiences in peacebuilding to find innovative solutions to the political impasse that the country is going through, which contributes to shaping a future that reflects the aspirations of all Libyans.
The main axes of the symposium are based on highlighting the effectiveness of Libyan women in decision-making and enhancing women's participation in power, women and cultural and social development to spread cultural and social identity, and the role of women in building a sustainable economy.
The symposium seeks to work on developing a national plan to increase the participation of Libyan women and their role in building peace and creating a national platform that links academies with research centers to create development projects and create a database for female creators and researchers to protect intellectual rights and connect them to global sites, invest in electronic sites to document women's intellectual production throughout the ages and activate the role of women in managing the wheel of the Libyan economy at all levels and developing their capabilities through education and training, and the academic and cognitive influence of women and enhancing their position in the academic scene and encouraging them through public and private institutions and creating mechanisms to contain and adopt their ideas.
