Minister of Housing discusses with specialized companies solutions to the problem of slums and infrastructure development

Tripoli, January 14, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Housing and Construction in the Government of National Unity, "Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi", discussed today, Tuesday, with representatives of the "Arab Consulting Engineers (ACE)" and "Engineers Consulting Group (ECG)", ways of cooperation with the urban planning sector to solve problems related to slums and infrastructure bottlenecks.

The media office of the ministry stated that the meeting discussed the mechanisms for the participation of specialized companies in implementing the national water and sanitation program, treating existing networks and rehabilitating sewage stations in line with the latest international standards, and benefiting from companies specialized in developing roads using the latest technologies and machines for re-paving, to ensure improving the efficiency of networks and reducing road problems.

"Al-Ghawi" stressed during the meeting the importance of benefiting from the engineering expertise of major companies such as ACE and ECG, in the fields of developing road paving materials and rehabilitating sewage stations, to support the achievement of sustainable development goals and enhance infrastructure in various regions.

At the end of the meeting, he stressed the need to expedite the development of clear executive plans to deal with existing problems, and to cooperate closely with all concerned parties to ensure the achievement of tangible results on the ground.
