Tripoli, 14 January 2025 (Lana) The Government of National Unity (GNU) stressed its full commitment to respecting the judicial process and the independence of the Libyan judiciary.

The GNU stressed yesterday that it will not allow interference in judicial procedures in any way, which reflects the government's belief in the rule of law as a fundamental pillar for achieving justice and ensuring the rights of victims and all parties.

The GNU- Ministry of Justice denied yesterday what it described as allegations of issuing a procedure to release the accused "Abdullah Al-Senussi".

The ministry's media office said that the ministry followed up on the circulation of some misleading information on social media, claiming that a procedure had been issued to release the accused, "Abdullah Al-Senussi," stressing that "Al-Senussi is appearing before the judiciary and is still detained and undergoing trial, and there is no truth to the existence of any procedure to release him.

The Ministry called on all citizens to beware of what it considered anonymous campaigns that attempt to stir up public opinion with misleading and untrue information, urging all media to follow the official media platforms affiliated with the Ministry or all components of the judiciary to follow any news related to the course of justice and all matters related to any case before the Libyan judiciary.
