Al-Baour meets with Orlando.

Tripoli, 14 January 2025 (Lana) Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al-Taher Al-Baour, met at the Ministry’s headquarters yesterday with the EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando.
The ministry stated on its Facebook page that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the two parties and support efforts of the UNSMIL to achieve an inclusive political settlement in the country.
The two parties also discussed the importance of supporting efforts of the Joint Military Committee 5+5 as well as unifying efforts to enhance control in the southern borders, which contribute to enhancing regional security and confronting cross-border challenges.
The meeting also reviewed the programs of the EU in Libya, with a focus on enhancing economic cooperation and sustainable development and developing strategic partnerships that contribute to supporting and stabilizing the Libyan economy.
