Dabaiba congratulates Joseph Aoun on assuming the presidency of the Lebanese Republic

Tripoli, January 9, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, made a phone call today, Thursday, with the new President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, to congratulate him on assuming his new duties.

During the call, Dabaiba expressed his wishes for Lebanon and its people to achieve more stability and prosperity, stressing the support of the National Unity Government to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Dabaiba stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the Libyan and Lebanese peoples, and enhances the bonds of brotherhood and joint Arab cooperation.

For his part, the President of the Lebanese Republic expressed his appreciation for this generous initiative, indicating his aspiration to develop relations between Libya and Lebanon during the next stage.
