Tripoli, January 9, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership with Qatar, in a way that serves common interests and drives economic development in Libya.

This came during his reception today, Thursday, of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari, who conveyed to him the congratulations of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the occasion of the New Year, expressing his wishes for the Libyan people for more stability and prosperity, according to the media office of the Prime Minister.

The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, as a number of files related to investment projects were reviewed, including the development of airports, strengthening the energy sector, and ports, in addition to the efforts made to restart Qatar Airways.

In turn, the Qatari ambassador stressed his country's keenness to support the process of stability and development in Libya.
