Pulbished on:

Tripoli, January 9, 2025 (LANA) - The 444th Brigade Combat Unit, affiliated with the General Staff of the Libyan Army stationed in the desert, was able to arrest a number of smugglers during the implementation of two operations to arrest smuggling cells.

The brigade stated in a post today, Thursday, attached to a number of photos of the two operations, that the first operation resulted in the arrest of smugglers who practice human and weapons trafficking, and in their possession weapons and military equipment that were part of their smuggling operation, which was thwarted by a detachment of the desert detachments of the 444th Brigade Combat Unit.

As for the second operation, it resulted in the overthrow of a cell of human traffickers who were caught red-handed, disguised as women wearing women's clothing, but the desert detachments, through their monitoring and tracking, became aware of their deceptive attempt, and revealed their cowardly tricks.

At the end of his post, the general reassured the Libyans that their army, stationed in tents in the middle of the desert, continues its work with dedication and loyalty to protect the country and reach all the strongholds of smugglers, human traffickers, arms and drugs, to destroy them and rid the country of them, not caring about the dangers or the ruggedness of the region.
