Dabaiba follows up on the implementation of the Al-Sarraj-Al-Suwani dual road project
Pulbished on:Tripoli, January 5, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dabaiba", followed up on the coordination process between the General Water and Sanitation Company, the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Authority, and the company implementing the Al-Sarraj-Al-Suwani Road Duplication Project, with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the project and overcoming the obstacles facing it.
This came during the expanded meeting held today, Sunday, with both - Minister of Transport "Mohammed Al-Shahoubi" and the Director General of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Authority "Mahmoud Ajaj", the Director General of the Transport Projects Implementation Authority "Ahmed Al-Qwaidi" and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Water and Sanitation Company "Rafiq Abu Al-Sin" and representatives of the company implementing the project - and was devoted to reviewing the current situation and the percentage of completion, and the steps required to overcome the challenges that hinder the continuation of work.
The Prime Minister's Media Office reported that "Dabaiba" stressed during the meeting the need to resume work at a high pace, while adhering to the specified timetable, stressing that this project constitutes an essential part of the government's vision to develop road and infrastructure projects.
The office pointed out that the project, which extends 8 kilometers and connects the Al-Sarraj and Al-Sawani areas in the capital, Tripoli, includes expanding the road to two lanes in each direction, constructing bridges to improve traffic, in addition to developing rainwater drainage networks, installing modern lighting systems, pedestrian sidewalks and safe crossings. The project also aims to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and improve the flow of transportation.
