Tripoli, January 1, 2025 (LANA) - The Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, stressed the importance of the national reconciliation file, which aims to achieve stability and pave the way for the electoral entitlement, which the Libyan people aspire to.

This came in a speech he gave during his participation in the Forum of Notables, Sheikhs and Sages, which was held today, Wednesday, in the city of Tripoli, under the auspices of the Presidential Council.

Al-Lafi said that the reconciliation file, which has reached advanced stages, has faced many challenges and difficulties, noting that this forum coincides with the seventy-third anniversary of Libya's independence, and to remember the past and what the fathers and grandfathers have provided, when they were one line to defend the homeland.

Al-Lafi pointed out that many forums were held in all Libyan cities, which confirmed the practical steps taken by the Presidential Council to make the project a success until it reached the preparation of the National Reconciliation Law by Libyan experts specialized in the legal field, as a national property of the Libyan people, and its referral to the House of Representatives for approval since last January.

The Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, confirmed that holding this forum with the participation of the wise, notables and sheikhs, clearly confirms their sense of responsibility and their support for the national reconciliation project. He stressed the importance of benefiting from the experiences of countries that preceded Libya in this field.
