Al-Toumi follows up on the results of the damage assessment resulting from the floods that recently swept the city of Tarhuna

Tripoli, January 1, 2025 (LANA) - The meeting held by the Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, with the Mayor of Tarhuna and members of the Municipal Council was devoted to following up on the latest developments in dealing with the damages resulting from the floods that recently swept the city.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the initial lists of the results of the damage assessment work, as well as the lists of families who need alternative housing until radical treatments are carried out for their homes.

Al-Toumi also followed up on the measures taken by the General Water and Sanitation Company related to maintaining the safety of well water, whether in terms of sterilization if required, as well as implementing the necessary tests and carrying out treatment operations.

At the end of the meeting, the Mayor and members of the Tarhuna Municipal Council praised the efforts made by the Government of National Unity to resolve this crisis through its rapid response and providing the necessary and required support to the municipality.
