Tripoli, December 30, 2024 (LANA) - The European Union Ambassador to Libya, "Nikola Orlando", renewed the Union's support for the efforts of the Audit Bureau in enhancing integrity, transparency and the independence of its work.

"Orlando" stressed during the meeting he held with the Chairman of the Audit Bureau, "Khaled Shakshak" at the headquarters of the Bureau in Tripoli, the importance of adhering to the rule of law in all institutional appointments, stressing the need to enhance confidence in Libyan institutions and combat corruption.

For his part, "Shakshak" expressed his appreciation for the European Union's support for the Audit Bureau, noting that this partnership contributes to improving governance and establishing the foundations of accountability in Libya.
