Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 29, 2024 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity expressed today, Sunday, its solidarity with South Korea following the crash of a plane belonging to the Korean airline "Jeju Air" at Muan International Airport, which claimed the lives of dozens of victims and injured.
The media office of the ministry stated that Libya, while expressing its deep solidarity with the friendly Republic of Korea, government and people, in this painful affliction, extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the victims.
It is noteworthy that the South Korean authorities announced today the death of "120" people as a result of a fire that broke out in a passenger plane while landing at Muan International Airport in the south of the country. It is a "Boeing 737-800" model, which was returning from Thailand.
It explained that the video clips spread on the X platform showed that the plane deviated from its course during landing and collided with a wall, which led to the outbreak of fire in it.
