Tripoli, December 25, 2024 (LANA) - The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency announced the implementation of the first deportation operation of illegal immigrants from Niger, after years of cessation.

The agency explained in a statement published on its Facebook account that the deportation operation of the immigrants took place today, Wednesday, from within the agency's deportation office in the presence of the Chargé d'Affairs of the Niger Embassy.

The agency added that the immigrants were transferred via the Al-Toum land port after completing the deportation procedures from Libyan territory, based on their violation of Libyan laws.

The agency indicated that this step came through direct efforts from the head of the agency and in coordination with the Niger Embassy in Libya, stressing that the deportation operations will continue in the coming days as part of the efforts aimed at organizing the illegal immigration file.
