Libya and Tunisia agree to activate the memorandum of understanding related to traditional industries
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 23, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries in the Government of National Unity, Nasreddine Al-Fazzani, discussed with the Tunisian Ambassador to Libya, "Asaad Al-Ajili", activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries related to traditional industries and preparing an executive program adopted by both sides as a framework to advance these industries.
"Al-Fazzani" agreed with the Tunisian ambassador during the meeting held Sunday at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli to form a higher committee to implement the provisions of this agreement.
During the meeting, the Minister of Tourism stressed the need to involve the private sector in the executive programs related to this memorandum and that integration between the private and public tourism sectors is the basis for launching real work in this field.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the office of the Undersecretary of the Office and Traditional Industries, the departments of Traditional Industries, Tourism Activation and Promotion, and the International Cooperation Office at the ministry, the Deputy Ambassador, and the Tunisian National Tourism Debt Delegate.
