The National Oil Corporation confirms that the settlement of the debt of the Swiss company Litasco was completed after review and approval by the Audit Bureau and the Litigation Department.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 22, 2024 (LANA) - The National Oil Corporation denied what was circulated by some social media pages about what it described as false information, not based on facts and evidence, about the corporation entering into a debt settlement with the Swiss company Litasco, despite the Audit Bureau's rejection of this settlement.
The National Oil Corporation confirmed in a statement today, Sunday, that this settlement was raised only after review and approval by the Bureau and the Litigation Department, and this is a proven fact, noting that with this settlement it has avoided huge financial losses, which will be legally binding, in addition to exposing some of its assets abroad to the risk of seizure, and that it still reserves the right to file a lawsuit against the aforementioned company; In the event that the investigations conducted by the Audit Bureau prove that it has supplied fuel shipments that do not meet the agreed specifications.
At the end of its statement, the Foundation warned the media, bloggers and social media pages against publishing or transmitting any news related to it without verifying its accuracy and credibility, and avoiding falling into suspicion of committing the crime of slander, distortion and spreading sedition, which is punishable by Libyan law, which we will resort to in such cases.
