Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 19, 2024 (LANA) - Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in the Government of National Unity, "Adel Jumaa", accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, "Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi", met today, Thursday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, "Jeremy Berndt", as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between Libya and the United States in the military and security fields, and to support stability in the region.
The government's media office reported that during the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Defense in Tripoli, the joint training programs for 2024 and the proposed ones for 2025 were reviewed, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the Libyan army elements, as well as the articles of the cooperation agreement to be concluded between the two countries in the field of air forces, where it was agreed to conclude it to enhance cooperation in this field.
The meeting also discussed - according to the office - the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, and the need to achieve progress in preparing a unified budget for the Libyan state during the year 2025.
