Al-Sour's visit to Rome culminates in reaching understandings on judicial cooperation between Libya and Italy
Pulbished on:Rome, December 19, 2024 (LANA) - The working meetings held by the Attorney General "Al-Siddiq Al-Sour" in Rome with the Italian judicial and judicial leaderships culminated in reaching understandings regarding judicial cooperation between Libya and Italy.
The Attorney General's Office reported that the visit of Counselor "Al-Siddiq Al-Sour" to Italy concluded with a meeting with the Public Prosecutor at the Supreme Court, which focused on arranging judicial cooperation between the two prosecutions, the enforcement mechanism of which is regulated by concluding a memorandum of understanding that addresses criminal issues of common interest.
Among the results of the visit - according to the office - was reaching the identification of mechanisms for training members of the Public Prosecution Authority; and judicial police officers supporting its judicial activity, and planning arrangements for transferring Libyan convicts who met the conditions according to a timetable extending throughout the first quarter of the coming year.
