Tripoli, December 17, 2024 (LANA) - The person in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, "Taher Al-Baour", received today, Tuesday, the Special Envoy for Middle East and African Affairs at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, "Maxim Sobh", who delivered to him a written message from the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, and presented him with an official invitation to visit Ukraine.

The media office of the ministry stated that the meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the mechanism for activating the work of the Libyan-Ukrainian Committee, including holding political consultations between the two sides, and resuming the work of the Ukrainian embassy and practicing its work from the capital, Tripoli, as soon as possible.

He explained that "Maxim Sobh" stressed at the end of the meeting his country's desire to activate the existing bilateral cooperation agreements between the two countries in a way that serves common interests.
