Saleh and Berndt discuss UN mission announcements over past two days

Al-Qubba, December 17, 2024 (LANA) - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, "Aguila Saleh", met today, Wednesday, in Al-Qubba, with the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Libya, "Jeremy Berndt".

"Berndt" said in a tweet published on the US Embassy's account on the platform - X - We discussed the important announcements issued by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya during the past two days, directed to the Libyan people and the UN Security Council.

According to "Berndt", the UN mission will need unified Libyan and international support to advance the political process, build the necessary consensus to achieve unified governance, and develop a reliable roadmap leading to successful national elections.
