Dabaiba and the Secretary-General of the Arab Maghreb Union discuss enhancing cooperation and strengthening relations between the countries of the Maghreb.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 15, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Dabaiba", discussed on Sunday with the Secretary-General of the Arab Maghreb Union, "Tariq bin Salem", enhancing cooperation between Libya and the Union and strengthening relations between the countries of the Maghreb, especially in the areas of economic integration.
Our Government platform affiliated with the government stated that the meeting discussed activating the sectoral committees affiliated with the Union, which include the sectors of trade, energy, infrastructure, food security, and education.
The two sides stressed during the meeting the importance of resuming the work of these committees in a way that achieves the goals of the Union in enhancing regional cooperation and supports the path of joint development between member states.
He explained that the meeting discussed the role of the Arab Maghreb Union within the framework of the African Union, and coordination between regional blocs to achieve African integration and enhance stability and development in the region.
